Does your family have a source of power in the event of disruption of electric service? Do you have a generator? Solar energy?

Here are two sites that friends have recommended to me. I also like to check out what is at the large improvement stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Costco and Walmart...and what I can find by searching on Google.

This site takes the mystery out of what size and type of generator you might need. Look generators for emergency (not recreational) use. I would also recommend a portable generator as opposed to a stand by (installed) generator. That way you can take it with you to other locations.

www.propane-generators.com

This site allows the use of propane rather than gasoline.
